Гонконг расположен на Коулунском полуострове, с запада, юга и востока омываемом Южно-Китайским морем, а также на более чем 260 островах, наиболее крупными среди которых являются Гонконг (местоположение органов верховной власти и финансового центра территории), Лантау и Ламма. На севере Гонконг граничит с особой экономической зоной Шэньчжэнь в составе китайской провинции Гуандун. Гонконг принято делить на три части: собственно остров Гонконг, Коулун и Новые Территории. Гонконг входит в регион дельты реки Чжуцзян, располагаясь на левом берегу её устья.

This photograph was taken from Victoria Harbour (Queen's Building on the left). From an album entitled "Chronicle of a Tour of Pelissier's Follies". Pelissier's Follies was a theatre troupe set up by the English producer H.G. Pelissier. The group toured Asia in 1911 including stops at Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tianjin.
